Bank Honors Community
Organizations
MARINETTE—The Stephenson
National Bank & Trust honored local
nonprofits at an appreciation event
open to the public in December 2013.
In 2013, the bank awarded a total of
$100,000 to more than 100 area orga-
nizations. “The bank had a very suc-
cessful year and wanted to share it with
many deserving organizations,” said
Daniel J. Peterson, SNBT president and
CEO. “When the bank does well, it is
a reflection of the great communities
we have surrounding us and we feel
there is no better way to give back than
to support the groups who make a dif-
ference. We are proud of the contribu-
tions the bank makes throughout the
year, but they pale in comparison to
the effort put forth by these groups.”
Donations helped fund new cots
for ambulances for the Crivitz Rescue
Squad, an automated external defibril-
lator for the Pembine Rescue Squad,
the relocation of the Totwatch program
to a new space at the Greater M&M
YMCA, and a roof replacement for the
cafeteria and west wing of St. Mary’s
School and Church in Peshtigo.
The bank also serves the commu-
nity by offering rent-free office space
to nonprofits. This past year bank
employees pledged over 6,500 hours
of community service across 104
organizations.
Artist’s Work on Display
WHITEWATER—Seventeen-year-old
artist, Amy Kleinhans, displayed her
art at the First Citizens State Bank in
Whitewater this January and February.
Despite her youth, Kleinhans has
racked up some impressive recogni-
tion. Since joining the Whitewater Arts
Alliance and the Wisconsin Regional
Artists Association in 2012, she has
won five Honorable Mention Awards
and two WRAP State Awards. She also
took a second place in the nonpro-
fessional adult category at the Mary
Hoard Art Museum in Fort Atkinson.

ter Award to Badger Bank. The branch
of the Fort Atkinson-headquartered

decorating and exemplifying good
cheer throughout the year. Part of the
holiday spirit included bank employees
sporting ugly sweaters on Ugly Sweater
Day.
The award includes a plaque and the
honor of hosting the traveling trophy
as well as bragging rights for 2014. The
bank also received a discount on its
Chamber membership renewal.
