Wisconsin Community Banker
September/October 2014
Badger Bank
Cathy Mansavage
, assistant vice
president, has worked for Badger Bank
for the past
42 years and
her service,
dedication,
and profes-
sionalism are
inspirational
to the orga-
nization. She
has promoted
Badger Bank’s core values and purpose
by demonstrating character, collabora-
tion, respect, and service to the Fort
Atkinson community. Contributing to
many facets of bank operations, Man-
savage has implemented efficient and
productive procedures, shown fiscal
responsibility, and improved Badger
Bank’s overall service quality.
In addition to her professional
accomplishments, Mansavage
advanced Badger Bank’s presence
within her community by actively com-
mitting to a local and very personal
cause, Fort Atkinson Relay for Life.
Seeking the support of Badger Bank
staff, Mansavage effortlessly assisted
the organization and helped execute
several very successful Relay for Life
events for the bank and community
participants. Her compassion and com-
mitment was and is an excellent repre-
sentation of the bank’s tagline, Working
Together, Achieving Success.
Farmers & Merchants Bank, Tomah
Andrew Bicknase
, senior vice
president, was honored for 35 years of
service.
The
senior vice
president
and busi-
ness banking
senior lender
began his
career as a
junior lender
for a small community bank in Lake
Zurich, Ill, where he worked his way
up to senior lender. In 1998, Bicknase
and several colleagues decided to open
their own small community bank in
Barrington, Ill., where he served as
senior lender.
During his time in Illinois, Bick-
nase was very involved in the commu-
nity; his volunteer activities include
raising money for Rotary where he
was president and named a Paul Har-
ris fellow; and the Chamber of Com-
merce where he served as director.
In 2013, Bicknase moved to Wis-
consin to take a position at F&M
Bank, Tomah. He continues his com-
munity involvement, currently serving
as a director at Handishop, Inc. When
not working or volunteering, he can
be found out on the golf course, fish-
ing, or traveling.
Carol Betthauser
has spent the
majority of her 30-year career at F&M
in customer
service
capacities
as a teller,
vault teller,
lead teller,
and most
recently,
receptionist.
The bank
is fortunate to have someone of her
character, experience, and expertise to
count on when it needs the extra effort
and initiative when the answers aren’t
easily or quickly found. She digs in
and comes up with the solutions.
Karen Gnewikow
has also worked
in customer service positions for 30
years. Her
most recent
job is in the
drive-up
window
after having
overseen the
bank’s Con-
venience
Center.
Gnewikow has truly taken ownership
of the facility in almost every sense of
the word. She can always be counted
on to provide fabulous customer ser-
vice and a positive thought.
Pat Linenberg
is one of the bank’s
stalwart employees in deposit opera-
tions. During her 40-year career, she
has been a receptionist/secretary,
accounting clerk, bookkeeper, com-
puter operations officer, bookkeep-
ing supervisor, computer operations
supervisor, computer room operator/
supervisor, and customer service
supervisor. When answers are needed
and knowing the history of the mat-
ter or issue is critical, Linenberg is the
bank’s “go to” person.
Her community involvement
includes helping with a car/motor-
cycle benefit show for the patients at
the Tomah VA Medical Center. The
show raises money for the recreation
department to help pay for the many
items not covered by government
subsidies.
Peter Reichardt
, president and
CEO, has been in banking for 32
years, the
last four-
and-a-half
with the
Farmers &
Merchants
Bank,
Tomah.
This gradu-
ate of the
University of Wisconsin-Stout and the
Graduate School of Banking helped
start a de novo bank in Minnesota
in 2000, which was sold to a regional
community bank in 2012. After the
sale he joined the Tomah bank.
In addition to leading the bank,
Reichardt serves as past president
and current member of the execu-
tive board of directors of the Greater
Tomah Area Chamber of Commerce.
He’s a member of the city of Tomah’s
long-range planning committee, the
Monroe County economic develop-
ment and tourism committee, the
Tomah Convention and Visitors
Bureau building committee, and
Remembering Teresa organization. He
started the Tomah Special Olympics
Power Lifting Invitational three years
ago and has served as a volunteer
power lifting coach for the Tomah
Special Olympics. Reichardt also vol-
unteers as the offensive and defensive
line coach for the Tomah High School
football team. He currently serves
as president of the board of direc-
tors of the Tomah Memorial Hospital
Foundation.
Under Reichardt’s leadership, F&M
contributes to various organizations
in the community including: Tomah
High School and school district, the
