Wisconsin Community Banker
September/October 2014
Neighbor for Neighbor Food Pantry,
and the Tomah Parks and Recreation
Department. The bank also sponsors
the Freedom Honor Flight, Chasing
Daylight Animal Shelter, and Tomah
Area Community Theatre.
Reichardt, an avid practitioner
and supporter of servant leadership,
started an employee benefit at the
bank to promote servant leadership in
the community. F&M employees get
paid to volunteer their time to area
nonprofit organizations during work
hours. Last year, F&M Bank employ-
ees volunteered over 2,200 hours in
the community.
Forward Financial Bank, Marshfield
Robert “Bob” Lotzer
, director
emeritus, was recognized for his 50
years of
dedicated
service to
the bank
and to the
Marshfield
commu-
nity. Lotzer
began his
banking
career with the bank, working in vari-
ous positions to develop a very broad
knowledge of the industry. He retired
as the bank’s president and chairman
of the board in 2009 and currently
serves as director emeritus. Although
his current involvement is more lim-
ited, he still brings valuable input
to the board meetings giving advice
on how to better serve the bank’s
customers.
As a lifelong active member of
the community, Lotzer made many
friends and developed strong cus-
tomer relationships. There are still
customers who stop by the bank
and say “if Bob was here … .” Bank
employees enjoy conversations with
him when he’s back from wintering
in Arizona with his wife of 60 years,
Charlene, and love his insight on
the banking industry and how it has
changed over the years. The Forward
Bank team feels that the bank wouldn’t
have been as successful if Lotzer
hadn’t been there to make the deci-
sions he made and grow the bank.
