CBW’s Lund Featured
MADISON—CBW President and CEO
Daryll Lund was interviewed in the
Sunday, July 6, Wisconsin State Journal.
Growing up on a corn and soybean
farm in Cambridge, Lund took the
lessons he learned and built a career
around advocating for community
banks. He earned a bachelor’s degree in
agriculture from UW-Madison and a
master’s degree in agricultural indus-
tries from UW-Platteville. Lund joined
CBW 19 years ago after working with
the Wisconsin Bankers Association and
the Wisconsin Agribusiness Council.
When asked how much the Dodd-
Frank regulations are affecting com-
munity banks, Lund noted: “They are
adding additional expense and burden
…We believe it’s time for a tiered
regulatory structure that differentiates
community banks from the largest
banks in this country. You can’t do a
one-size-fits-all in bank regulations.
We’ve got banks in this country that
are over $1 trillion (in assets). You
can’t impose the same regulations on
those banks as on community banks.
Those are two different types of finan-
cial institutions.”
