Governor Signs Historic ILC Legislation
On March 18, Governor Doyle signed into law Act 112, advanced by Community Bankers of Wisconsin to close the ILC branching loophole. CBW introduced this legislation to prohibit any bank and specifically industrial loan companies (ILCs) from establishing a banking office within 1.5 miles of property owned by the same corporation and used for commercial activity. ......click here to read more

State Bank of Cross Plains Marks Centennial
The State Bank of Cross Plains began a year of celebration in honor of its centennial with a ceremony and breakfast in January. Guests included State Sen. John Erpenbach, representatives from the offices of other elected officials, and Daryll Lund, CBW president and CEO.
Among the guests, Mike Schutz, president of the Village of Cross Plains, observed, “This community is what it is today because of the bank.”
